Life consists of far more than just obtaining and possessing things. Rather, God wants us to enjoy a full, complete, and balanced life; and He has made provisions through His Word for us to be fulfilled in that way. He has promised to supply our every need (Philippians 4:19), and He has promised to fulfil the desires of our hearts (Psalm 31:4). But He also wants to keep our priorities clear: "Seek first the kingdom of God." In that way - with all His promises and priorities in balanced application to your life - "all these things shall be added to you" (Matthew 6:33). |
