| Here is another piece of
writing which my Mum has done. She writes out of a pure heart, and from her own
experience. I'm so proud that she is helping me out with this page! I hope and trust that
this article will bless you. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - HOW TO BE A WITNESS FOR JESUS CHRIST, OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR
God still calls people to His service, so we need the
necessary tools for witnessing to the unsaved. 2) The boldness of the first Christian martyr - Stephen (see Acts 7), and Peter who preached and taught the life of Jesus Christ. Peter was threatened with imprisonment. Both he and Stephen showed their determination even unto their death to preach the gospel of The Risen Christ. Peter was crucified. 3) St. Paul, the great evangelist, was brave and bold. He persevered through tribulation, imprisonment, shipwreck, arrested and beaten (see 2 Corinthians 11:23-33), but he was determined to preach Jesus Christ crucified on the cross, and risen from the dead. 4) Jeremiah - called "The Weeping Prophet". He had a heart of love and compassion for the people that he wept and lamented over their sins and idolatry. We too, ought to have hearts of love and compassion when we witness to the unsaved - because God is love (1 John 4:8). 5) Our testimonies are very effective and powerful weapons to demonstrate the love of Jesus. He came and died for our sins, so that we could be forgiven and brought back into fellowship and communication with God the Father. 6) The most necessary and dynamic tool, however is the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ who died for Adam's fallen race. When witnessing, we should not have the
tendency to be "velvet-mouthed" messengers, and avoid sin issues, but fulfill
the commission given by Jesus - to priech the gospel of repentance of sin (see Matthew
28:19). Men and women must be aware of their sins, repent, and ask God's forgiveness. John
3 verse 16 says it all - "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten
Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
