Following up from
"You are..." where
I explored the different ways in which God reveals Himself to us in the
Bible, now, we will look at what God says about those who live for and trust
in Him. It is very important to know who we are in Christ. If we don't, then
we will never be all we can be, and do all we can do. For those of you who
have not yet accepted Christ, hopefully this piece of writing will help you
see what God wants you to be.

FRIEND
John 15:13-15 - "Greater love has
no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. You are My
friends if you do whatever I command you."
WORKMANSHIP
Ephesians 2:10 - "For we are are His workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that
we should walk in them."
HEIRS / JOINT HEIRS
Romans 8:16,17 - "The Spirit Himself bears witness with
our spirit that we are children of God, and if children heirs of God and
joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be
glorified together."
MORE THAN CONQUERORS
Romans 8:35,37 - "Who shall separate us from the love of
Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or
nakedness, or peril, or sword? Yet in all these things we are more than
conquerors through Him who loved us."

VICTORS

us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."
OVERCOMERS
1 John 5:4,5 - "For whatever is born of God overcomes
the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith.
Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the son
of God."
SOJOURNERS/PILGRIMS
1 Peter 2:11,12 - "Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and

hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in

hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God

THE TEMPLE OF GOD

you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy,
which temple you are."
THE REDEEMED
Psalm 107:2 - "Let the redeemed of the LORD
say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy."
1 Peter 1:17-19 - "And if you call on the
Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work,
conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear;
knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like
silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from
your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb
without blemish and without spot."
GOD'S FELLOW WORKERS
1 Corinthians 3:8,9 - "Now he who plants and
he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward
according to his own labour. For we are God’s fellow workers; you
are God’s field, you are God’s building."
WATCHMEN
Ezekiel 33:1-6 - "Again the word of the LORD
came to me, saying, “Son of man, speak to the children of your
people, and say to them: ‘When I bring the sword upon a land, and
the people of the land take a man from their territory and make him
their watchman, when he sees the sword coming upon the land, if he
blows the trumpet and warns the people, then whoever hears the sound
of the trumpet and does not take warning, if the sword comes and
takes him away, his blood shall be on his own head. He heard
the sound of the trumpet, but did not take warning; his blood shall
be upon himself. But he who takes warning will save his life.
6 But if the watchman
sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people
are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from
among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will
require at the watchman’s hand."
EPISTLES OF CHRIST

SHEEP
